4 Golden Rules for Business Survival

According to the US Small business administration, four out of five businesses started in
2016 survived their first year of activity, half of them survived at least 5 years and a third survived 10 years or longer. Not too bad seen from that angle.
It also means that 50% closed within 5 years of their existence. I am in my 3rd year of existence so I have already done better than 20% of the ones that started in 2016 and I surely hope to beat the odds and still be there passed 10 years of activity.

So, what did I learn out of this and how could this help you keeping your business running…. Let’s check out the 3 golden rules for business survival that I have learned from my experience so far.

Social Media? Privacy? Embark on the next marketing wave

Social medias have been making the headlines with data leaks, privacy compliance corruption and other unethical practices yet, they continue to drive forward their push to get more data from each of us and mine it for money. BBC about standing seats in airlines in July 2010 and another one in CNN’s article “Here’s what it might be like to travel on a stand-up airplane seat” on April 3rd this year, I just cannot imagine how far low cost could come before people say “Enough!!”.

Why FREE is not the best price

The numbers reported by many companies and countries in relation to wage increase, record revenues and booming stock market over the last months seem to confirm that one can survive based on the fact that there are enough customers out there willing to live with a new criteria of satisfaction: low pricing.

Are we there yet?

Many of you are leaving for vacation and it is usually a great time to take a break and let your mind go where ever it likes to go... meditate, dream, plan. It is also a great opportunity to ask yourself some deeper questions about where you are and where you are going. Read More…

Marketing considerations for the IoT world

Would it be impressive if the next marketing offer showing off on your smartwatch is linked to the need you will experience in 1 minute? Would it be that unbelievable that your next balance meal choices are presented to you based on your habits, weather, location and time you have available before your next activity? Would it be sensational that your doctor could anticipate your next medical needs based on your vitals, medications taken and stress level at work?
